The Museum of Aviation Foundation held its 34th Annual Auction Raffle and Taste of Local Cuisine on Saturday, July 20th, at 6 p.m. in the Century of Flight Hangar. This annual event is one of the largest fundraisers for the Museum of Aviation Foundation and this year, raised over $150,000—including contributions and in-kind support. The proceeds will go towards the Museum’s National STEM Academy and Foundations operations.

The winner of the 1st place, $20,000 raffle prize will remain anonymous. The winner of the 2nd place, $10,000 raffle prize was Randall Evans, and the winner of the 3rd place, $5,000 raffle prize was Mary Stanley. A 50/50 raffle was also held during the evening’s event. This year’s winner won $1,690.
Live Auction Items Up For Bid (Photography by David Collins)
Items included in the live auction were: A guitar signed by Brad Paisley with VIP tickets to his concert in August, a 2004 Harley Davidson Motorcycle, spa packages, vacation packages, beautiful jewelry, and many other items.
The Foundation is grateful to everyone who donated hundreds of auction items, and cuisine from 24 local restaurants.
Foundation President and CEO, Darlene McLendon, said “Each year, the Auction and Raffle provides significant support to the Museum’s operations and STEM education programs. Equally important, the event offers an engaging opportunity for us to highlight our community and business supporters.”
