Mission Quest Flight Simulators
Mission Quest offers 6th grade through adults in-house, virtual, and ‘On the Go’ outreach field trip and adult team building programs to schools, organizations, and groups. It features the Mission Quest Flight Simulation Lab, Astronomy, and other special missions. The Flight Simulation program is also opened to families and groups of 6 or more and is best for 6th grade – adults.
School Sponsored Program
The 3-hour Mission Quest program involves planning and flying a mission. Mission success depends on working together as a team for mutual support. Students will fly the B-1, C-17, or F-15 flight simulators. The state-of-the art software and hardware create an exciting and accurate experience. This is a state-of-the-art facility for simulated flight and non-combat aviation application. All participants must be 6th grade and above. This program is education orientated and for schools/colleges to include (J)ROTC and Interns.
- Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday and must be scheduled in advance.
- Class size: Minimum of 8 – Maximum of 14 participants (Special arrangements may be available on a case by case basis for larger groups)
- Cost: $20 per participant

Scouts & CAP Program
This program is tailored for Scouts and Civil Air Patrol and involves planning and flying a mission in the Mission Quest Flight Simulation Lab. Mission success depends on working together as a team for mutual support. Participants will fly the B-1, C-17, or F-15 flight simulators. The state-of-the art software and hardware create an exciting and accurate experience.
The Museum of Aviation offers a Mission Quest program for the Boy Scout Aviation Merit Badge. Originally designed by a Mission Quest Instructor and Boy Scout Counselor, the program follows the guidelines of the Scout Handbook, providing updated tools and resources to assist Scout Leaders and Counselors. The curriculum features aeronautical principles, navigation, instrumentation, and flight preparation, culminating in the Scout Squadron’s simulated flight. Girl Scouts are also invited to schedule this Aviation Flight Simulation program.
-Due to time constraints, the glider portion of the Aviation badge is not covered during this program. Scout leaders are asked to complete this on their own at an alternate time. A template is attached for your convenience: MQ Glider Instructions

Families, Groups & Birthdays

The 2-hour Mission Quest program for families, informal/non-business groups, and birthdays involves planning and flying a mission in the Mission Quest Flight Simulation Lab. Mission success depends on working together as a team for mutual support. Participants will fly the B-1, C-17, or F-15 flight simulators. The state-of-the art software and hardware create an exciting and accurate experience.
- Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday and must be scheduled in advance.
- Class size: Minimum of 6 – Maximum of 14 participants (Participants must be 6th grade or up)
- Cost: This package is $30 per person.
Astronomy in the Planetarium (6th – 12th grades)
Students will go inside a STARLAB planetarium to experience a visual exploration of astronomy and our solar system.
The program can be scheduled during and after school. Each rotation in the planetarium lasts approx. 20-30 minutes and can accommodate up to 10 students per rotation, depending on size.
- Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday and must be scheduled in advance.
- Class size: Minimum of 10 – Maximum of 20 – 30 participants depending on size and age.

Aviation Team Building (Adult Groups)
The 3 hour Aviation Team Building program builds trust, mitigates conflict, encourages communication, and increases collaboration. It provides your staff an opportunity to plan and fly a mission in the Mission Quest Flight Simulation lab. Your mission success depends on working together for mutual support. Your team will have learned valuable team building cohesiveness and leadership skills.
The program offers participants the opportunity to engage in realistic flight scenarios. “Crew members” will fly state-of-the-art B-1, C-17, or F-15 flight simulators while working to complete specific team-oriented goals. Live ATC will monitor your mission, but you will have to plan it with your squadron. No flight experience necessary.

"On the Go" STARLAB Planetarium
The Mission Quest Astronomy ‘On the Go’ Outreach program brings the STARLAB planetarium to your school or location during and afterschool.
- Offered to schools within 50 miles of the Museum of Aviation.
- Program will last approximately 30-45 minutes per session/rotation.
- Minimum 40 participants per session/rotation
Cost is $5 Per Participant/Minimum fee $250 for an after school-hour program
