NATIONAL STEM ACADEMY

Where Education, Innovation & History Meet

This groundbreaking initiative is not just a celebration of aviation’s rich heritage, but a profound exploration of the transformative power of STEM.

The National STEM Academy is a registered trademark program of the Museum of Aviation Foundation.  The National STEM Academy offers field trip and individual programs that integrate innovative, hands-on STEM disciplines, including the Arts such as history, literature, and more. These programs are offered for learners ages 4 through adult. Rigorous, goal-setting experiences challenge participants to solve problems and are aligned to state and national education standards.

Exploration Programs

These are programs for PreK-5th grade designed to stimulate young minds and cultivate interest through interactive and fun exercises.

Innovation Programs

These are programs for 6th grade – adult designed to take STEM disciplines to the next level and grow engagement.

STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, but it’s more than that. STEM has grown to represent a unique approach to teaching and learning — one that centers around individual students learning styles and interests. This means that STEM education has something to offer every student!
