'On the Go' Outreach Program

Our ‘On the Go’ Outreach programs are interactive, interesting and inspiring! Our staff and programs come directly to you to provide one of three ‘On the Go’ Program options: Science, Astronomy or WWII. Please review the various options below to learn more and choose the ‘On the Go’ Program that works best for you.

  • Programs are offered to schools within 50 miles of the Museum of Aviation
  • Programs are for Pre K – 12th Grade

‘On the Go’ Science Show: Is it Magic or is it Science?

  • This program explores the states of matter, following the scientific method of experimentation, and observation science skills during the classroom day or after school.
  • The program supports the following Science Georgia Standards of Excellence (S2P1, S4P3, S5P1) but can be booked for any grade level.
  • The cost of this show is $150 per 30 minute show, minimum of 12 participants required.
  • A classroom can be used, but for 2 or more classes, a lunchroom or gym is the best setting. This Science Show can be done in an auditorium setting with multiple classes, or even the whole school.

‘On the Go’ Astronomy: Bring the STARLAB Planetarium to YOU

  • This program brings the STARLAB Planetarium to your school or location during or after school (within 50 miles of the Museum of Avaition)
  • The program supports the following Science Georgia Standards of Excellence (SKE1, S2E2, S4E2, S6E1, SAST1, SAST2 ) but can be booked for any grade level
  • Program will last approximately 30-45 minutes per session/rotation with approximately 15-20 participants per session/rotation
  • The cost is $5 per participant with a minimum of 20 participants/Minimum fee $250 for an after school-hour program
  • The School/Organization must provide 1–2 assistants to help set up & take down the STARLAB.  A large room is needed for set-up with at least 25′ x 25′ of floor space and a 15′ tall ceiling, a lunchroom or gym is the best setting
