These are the before and after pictures of the restoration of the B-17 wing tip assembly. The restoration of the wing tip took about 80 man hours and several fasteners!
The HU-16’s new nose landing gear was cleaned and received some fresh primer along with both wheel assembly’s, new wheel bearings on order!
We cleaned the corrosion on the wing tip of the B-17 and we will soon attach it to the rest of the wing.
Our restoration team glued the Naugahyde vinyl to the support panel and here it is in the HU-16.
