Join us for a full day STEM Educator workshop at Robins Air Force Base! Receive a $200 stipend for participation and take home a class set of supplies and equipment from the day’s activities.
Workshop activities will be Project Based Learning STEM focused targeting middle school grade levels 6th to 8th. Activities can be modified by the educator for use with GT programs, upper elementary, and lower high school grades. STEM activities will likely include a mixture of Simple Circuits, Tissue Paper Hot Air Balloons, Tetrahedral Kites, Straw Rockets, Density Challenges, Cyphers, Spy Among Us, and Egg-Drop. If you participated in the 2022 workshop day, there may be a little repeat or overlap of activities.

Your Workshop Facilitator: Dr. Nicole Yemothy
Dr. Yemothy is the 2022-23 Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellow for the Department of Defense posted with the Air and Space Forces K12 STEM program. She is a veteran educator  with  17  years  teaching  Science,  Technology,  and  STEM.  Hailing  most  recently from South Carolina, she has been a Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Master Teacher for the past 7 years. Dr. Yemothy is the 2021 SC Presidential Award Finalist for Science, a 2022 NSTA SHELL Science Award Top 10 Teacher, the 2021 & 2022 SC STEM Western Region Teacher of the Year and state finalist, and a PLTW Outstanding Educator for the past 4 years.
