
ACE Wonder Wings “On the Go” (Pre K)
The Wonder Wings program is brought to your classroom. This program is offered to schools within 50 miles of the Museum of Aviation. Can see up to 2 classes per visit.
- COST: $3 per person
- MINIMUM: 1 Class
- MAXIMUM: 25 person class size
- DAYS: Wednesdays – Fridays August – May, not offered June – July.
- TIMES: 9:00 – 11:00 am, but can vary to accommodate classroom schedule
ACE "On the Go" (K - 5th Grades)
ACE STEM-based activities are brought to your classroom.
This program is offered to schools within 50 miles of the Museum of Aviation.
- Days: Wednesdays – Fridays August – May, not offered June – July.
- Times: Flexible to meet the needs of the schools.
- Cost: $5 per student. Can see one grade level per visit.
Key Objectives:
Kindergarten: SKP2 Force and Motion
Using various objects students will compare different types of motion.
1st Grade: S1P1/S1P2: Sound Light and Magnetism
Students will investigate magnets, and build a device that creates light and sound.
2nd Grade: S2P2 Forces and Motion
Students will demonstrate the effect of force upon an object.
3rd Grade: S3P1 Heat and Energy
Students will explore and identify sources of heat energy and experience an exothermic reaction.
4th Grade: S4P3 Gravitational Force
Students will demonstrate how gravitational force affects an object.
5th Grade:S5P2/S5P3 Magnetism and Electricity
Students will investigate Electricity and its relationship to magnetism.
On the Home Front During WWII (Outreach) (5th Grades)
Bring World War II Family Life to your classroom!
This outreach program for 5th grade students takes place at your school and lasts approximately 1 hour. View real artifacts as you learn the roles of the family during WW II.
Learn about rationing and what measures Mom and the family had to take to survive the war.
Students will discover “Rosie the Riveter” and how the roles of women changed in their effort to support the war. The class will also participate in a hands-on activity.
Social Studies Standards met are SS5H6 (a) (e).

Mission Quest Astronomy "On the Go" (Planetarium Outreach) (6th - 12th Grades)
The Mission Quest STEM “On the Go” outreach program brings the STARLAB planetarium to your school or location during and afterschool. Students will go inside a STARLAB planetarium to experience a visual exploration of astronomy and our solar system.
It is offered to schools within 50 miles of the Museum of Aviation. Program will last approximately 30 – 45 minutes per session/rotation.
Schedule:
Tuesday – Friday and must be scheduled in advance.
Class size:
Approximately 25 participants per session/rotation, minimum of 20 participants
Cost:
$5 per participant
****Please Note: The School/Organization must provide 1 – 2 assistants to help set up & take down the STARLAB. A large room is needed for set-up with at least 25′ x 25′ of floor space and a 15′ tall ceiling, a lunchroom or gym is the best setting.
Mission Quest STEM in Sports "On the Go" (Outreach) (6th - 12th Grades)
The Mission Quest STEM in Sports “On the Go” outreach program takes place at your school or location. This program is perfect for Science or P.E. classes. Students will explore the hidden science found in their favorite sports and learn how science improves safety and equipment, improves the performance of athletes and more.
It is offered to schools within 50 miles of the Museum of Aviation. Program will last approximately 30 – 45 minutes per session/rotation.

Tuesday – Friday and must be scheduled in advance.

Approximately 25 participants per session/rotation, minimum of 20 participants

Mission Quest Living in Space "On the Go" (Outreach) (6th - 8th Grades)
This Life Sciences program introduces students to living and working in space with NASA hands-on activities
The program lasts approximately 30 – 45 minutes per rotation and is offered to schools/organizations within 50 miles of the Museum of Aviation.

The Resource Center staff can make arrangements to conduct in-service and pre-service professional development opportunities on-site at your school or location.
