The Skyward Internship Program’s goal is to help emerging professionals develop workforce skills through hands-on experience while advancing the Museum of Aviation’s mission to preserve and honor aviation heritage while inspiring future generations through education and community engagement.
Purpose
Eligibility
Interns must be enrolled in or have recently completed an educational program related to the internship field.
Minimum age: 18 years old.
*Remote work requires secure internet, distraction-free environment, and on-camera meetings
Duration and Schedule
Internship duration: 8–12 weeks or one semester (depending on project and departmental needs)
Working hours: 15–35 hours per week (flexible scheduling may be arranged)
Compensation
Due to the organization’s non-profit nature, this is an unpaid internship. Benefits include skill-building, networking, and mission-driven work. Interns are not entitled to employee benefits such as insurance or paid leave.
Certification
Upon successful completion of this internship, the intern will receive a Certificate of Internship Completion and a performance evaluation for academic credit or future employment from the Museum of Aviation Foundation.
