STEM-tastic Explorations
The Museum of Aviation’s STEM Field Trip Program is designed to ignite students’ curiosity and passion for STEM—Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math—through dynamic, hands-on learning experiences. These activities are thoughtfully crafted to align with the Georgia Standards of Excellence for Science, ensuring that students not only engage with STEM concepts but also gain skills that meet state educational requirements. By immersing students in interactive experiments, engineering challenges, and technology-driven projects, the program aims to deepen their understanding of STEM principles while fostering critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration in a fun, real-world context.
Wonder Wings
Wonder Wings (PreK - K)
The ACE Wonder Wings STEM program aims to encourage STEM learning at an early age with fun hands-on activities. The ACE Wonder Wings program is specifically designed to correlate with the GA Early Learning and Development Standards.
- COST:Â $5 per student
- MINIMUM: 20 students
- MAXIMUM:Â 50 students
- DAYS: Monday-Fridays, August-May, not offered June-July.

The ACE STEM Field Trip Program is designed for 1st-5th grade students to spark interest in STEM through engaging, hands-on activities specifically correlated to GA Standards of Excellence for Science. Objectives can be found below. Â Students will participate in interactive STEM experiences highlighting goal setting and problem-solving skills.
- MINIMUM:Â 20 students
- DAYS: Monday-Friday during August through May, not offered June-July.
- COST: $5 per student
Key Objectives:
- 1st Grade: S1P1/S1P2: Sound Light and Magnetism: Students will investigate magnets, and build a device that creates light and sound.
- 2nd Grade: S2P2 Forces and Motion: Students will demonstrate the effect of force upon an object.
- 3rd Grade: S3P1 Heat and Energy: Students will explore and identify sources of heat energy and experience an exothermic reaction.
- 4th Grade: S4P3 Gravitational Force: Students will demonstrate how gravitational force affects an object.
- 5th Grade: S5P2 Electricity: Students will investigate Electricity and build a simple circuit.
ACE Plus Guided Tours (1st - 5th Grades)
ACE Plus Guided Tour (1st - 5th Grades)
ACE Plus combines two STEM demonstrations with a Guided History Tour of 1-2 buildings. Students also experience the C-130 Hercules Airplane Exhibit by learning about the role of the aircraft and paratroopers.
- Cost: $12 per student.
